Our whole experience was lovely, could n't recommend more. The hotel was a superb base for enjoying a lovely area, just off scotland, restaurants and an incredible island. Stunning and marvellous location - within short walking distance of everywhere we needed. Moreover, it was 5 km from Rendall Doocot.

The hotel's location was excellent, right by an incredible island and Orkney. Got the same spacious twin/double room with a bathroom for private use booked online, loved that. - There were coffee and tea making equipment, and glassware too.

The garden was so big, I felt like I was wandering in a maze. The breakfast was so generous, I had to unbutton my pants. And the free parking? Well, I almost had to pay to park my car on the ceiling!
Absolutely nothing to complain about because I am a perfect human being who loves everything. 😉

Aviedale Cottage B&B in Gorseness offers a stunning location with beautiful views. the rooms are spacious and luxurious, with en suite bathrooms that are pristine and well-equipped. the hosts, Katie and David, are incredibly welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast and personal touches such as homemade shortbread and a guest fridge.
The hotel could benefit from being more centrally located for easier access to nearby attractions.

The garden is huge, perfect for picnics or playing croquet, if only I had brought my mallet. The breakfast is a feast fit for royalty, don't forget to try the continental goodies as well. And the parking is just the icing on the cake, oh how I love those empty parking spaces!
Oh, they had the audacity to offer on-site parking, how dare they! Who needs convenience when you can park miles away and drag your suitcases through the mud, it's such a fun workout!

I had the most incredible stay at a charming B&B in mainland Orkney. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a stunning en suite bathroom that had the best shower ever. Everything was spotlessly clean, making it feel like a home away from home. The hostess, Katie, was an absolute treasure and made our stay even more enjoyable. I can't wait to book again if I ever return to Orkney. I highly recommend this B&B for its exceptional location, gorgeous rooms, and friendly service.

The spacious rooms with private en suite facilities make me feel like a VIP. I absolutely love the ground floor room with a walk-in wet room, perfect for guests with limited mobility. The accessibility of the downstairs room with a large walk-in wet room is a major plus. Waking up to a beautiful garden view in the double room with an electric kettle is so refreshing. The double room with an electric kettle is just what I need for a cozy and relaxing stay. Having a flat-screen TV in the twin/double room adds a touch of entertainment to my stay. The suite with a private shower room makes me feel like I have a luxurious retreat all to myself.
Personally, I would have liked more variety in the facilities offered in the double room with just an electric kettle.

We got excellent value for our money with a beautiful room and a spacious en suite bathroom that was simply stunning. The location was gorgeous, offering a lovely escape from the busy city life, and the staff, particularly Katie, our wonderful host, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The breakfast experience could have been enhanced with a wider variety of options.
